Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) introduced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Program to meet the growing demand of mechanical diploma engineers for the country. Like other diploma courses Diploma in Engineering Program comprises of 8 semesters in four years.
The fields of higher education for mechanical diploma engineering graduates are open. They can get admission in public and private universities. Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), a specialized university only for the diploma engineers, where many mechanical diploma graduates get admission in the B.Sc. level. Every year many students aregoing abroad for higher education in this field.
